Good news for Galaxy Nexus owners with either Sprint’s or Verizon’s contract as both carriers have either started or are getting ready to roll-out new software updates for their particular version of the Google phone. Verizon Wireless has apparently already started pushing Android 4.0.4 update build IMM76K to select users, with folks all around Interwebs reporting receiving new software. Google is working on changing the look of the Galaxy Nexus with the addition of a slider, according to some patents Google filed with the USPTO in January. In the is filing, a series of three patents were submitted, which listed lead Android developer Andy Rubin as the main inventor. Hey all you Sprint customers, you haven't been forgotten after all! Sprint has just revealed that the device's Ice Cream Sandwich has finally gone live, which is great news if you're looking to squeeze some more life out of your aging Nexus S 4G before you move into something a bit more modern. Sprint has said the update will be pushed to all devices over the coming weeks, but if you're impatient -- which I can't blame you for -- you should be able to jumpstart the process by going into the device's settings and checking for the update.
